Tikkurila's Alcro and Beckers products granted five new Nordic Ecolabels
Tikkurila has the highest number of eco-labeled decorative paints in Scandinavia.
Tikkurila has already for years in Scandinavia worked actively and consistently to develop and offer environmentally friendly products. As a result, Tikkurila has the highest number of eco-labeled decorative paints in Scandinavia.
In 2009, Tikkurila's subsidiary Alcro-Beckers AB was the first company to receive the Nordic Ecolabel for its exterior paints. Now the Alcro and Beckers exterior and interior paints have been granted five new Nordic Swan Ecolabels.
The Nordic Ecolabel is the official environmental label in the Nordic Countries, which guides consumers to choose environmentally better products, and encourages manufacturers and service providers to produce such products. Paints labeled with the Nordic Ecolabel fulfill not only the strict environmental but also tight quality requirements, which cover the entire lifecycle of the products from raw materials to the manufacturing of the products, their use, and disposal of waste.
Alcro, established in 1906, is the leading decorative paint brand providing water-borne products for consumers and professionals on the Swedish market. Beckers is another leading decorative paint brand for consumers in Sweden.
