30.10.2012 Alcro in cooperation with Tiger of Sweden
Tikkurila's Swedish subsidiary, Tikkurila Sverige AB, has started a cooperation with the Swedish fashion company Tiger of Sweden, and they have jointly launched a new black T/J Black shade to Alcro's interior paints.
Tikkurila starts the autumn with a dashing media campaign in Finland. Along with the campaign Tikkurila will launch its slogan "The Power of Colours".
21.09.2012 Children and birds in the Yellow City
The “Yellow City – Illustrated stories from Helsinki” project is part of the official Helsinki Design World Capital program. In the Yellow City, 17 writer-illustrator pairs tell illustrated stories about Helsinki. A wall-painting workshop for children organized by Napa Illustrations Agency took place on July 29, 2012 at the Skidit Festarit event in the Kallio district of Helsinki.
In May 2012, one of the best-known Chinese professional coatings media, China Coatings News, launched a campaign to vote for the best ecological paint brands sold in China.
Tikkurila's Serbian subsidiary, Tikkurila Zorka, has participated in a major project in Serbia. All interior surfaces in the shopping and entertainment center in Kragujevac were painted with Tikkurila paints.
The 2012 Housing Fair will be held at Vuores in Tampere between July 13–August 12, 2012. One of the Housing Fair exhibits will be a neighborhood home of the SOS Children's Village, the interior surfaces of which are painted with Tikkurila paint.
04.07.2012 Crusell Bridge a new landmark in Helsinki
The construction of the Crusell Bridge, spanning the Ruoholahti channel, was completed in Helsinki last year. The bridge pylons rise 49 metres above sea level, and the bridge has 5.25 metres of sailing height to ensure unimpeded boat traffic.
Tikkurila's Polish subsidiary, Tikkurila Polska, is the official partner of the redecoration of the standing galleries in the National Museum in Warsaw, Poland.

To bring comfort and joy to children living in the Sun Village in Beijing, Tikkurila in China participated in a redecoration project of the childre's village.
In May 2012, Tikkurila Zorka participated in a renovation and cleaning project of the primary school "Ratko Mitrovic" in Belgrade, Serbia. The school façade and several classrooms were painted with Zorka Color paints.

28.05.2012 Inspiring art in Minsk
Tikkurila in Belarus launched a "Color Inspiration" competition in cooperation with the Belarusian "Belyy Kvadrat" marketing and advertising festival. Young designers were invited to draw sketches to provide color inspiration to children with Tikkurila paints.
14.05.2012 Teks brand renewal
The leading Russian paint brand Teks is one of Tikkurila's strategic brands providing products with an optimal ratio of price-quality. To maintain and strengthen the position of the brand, Tikkurila will launch a renewed Teks brand in Russia, the CIS countries and the Baltics in May 2012.
Alcro will provide Skanska with consulting services for the painting work on the New Karolinska Solna University Hospital outside Stockholm, Sweden.

To further strengthen the position of the Vivacolor brand and ensure the long-term competiveness in a constantly changing paint business, the Vivacolor brand will undergo many changes during 2012.
OOO Tikkurila has been awarded in March 2012 in Moscow. The first prize “HR Brand of the Year 2011” was given in the category "The Northern Capital" (project realized in St. Petersburg) for their integration project in Russia in 2009-2011.

Alcro-Beckers AB was awarded third prize in the international Epica Awards in the category of "Household Maintenance". The award was granted to Alcro's colorful campaign "Color Tackle", which illustrates a Swedish ice hockey player in a dramatic tackle with an opponent from another team.

Tikkurila's German subsidiary Pigrol has launched the first scientifically tested protective coating for apiculture. The lifespan of the wooden beekeeping equipment can now be extended with the Pigrol products.
The latest building project of the Student Village Foundation of Turku (TYS) was completed in the spring 2011 in the Nummenranta area in Turku, Finland. The elliptical construction was built in compliance with the principles of sustainable development, and the interior premises were painted with Tikkurila's water-borne paints.
